An exercise physiologist is a trained health care professional
that has at least 4 years (and ours often have 6 years) of University training in
physiology (how the body works) and the impact that exercise and activity can have on how
the body works. Our exercise physiologists have particular specializations in cardiac
rehabilitation, physical therapy, and working with clinical populations (those with a wide
range of medical conditions such as obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol,
diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, fibromyalgia, menopause, and along with many others)
as well as sports conditioning.
