STAFF

You won’t find anything like us!

Why are we unique?

Our staff consists of Physical Therapists, Registered Dietitians (credentialed by almost all major insurance carriers), Exercise Physiologists, Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists, and Behavioral Change Specialists as well as Personal Trainers, Aerobics/Step Instructors, and Yoga Specialists.

Our programs have been endorsed by over 80 area physicians.

We have the only medically supervised fitness program in the area with unlimited exercise privileges and a nutrition component.

We have the only comprehensive nutrition & weight management program run by a staff of clinically trained nutritionists.

Our management team is made up of graduates of Princeton, Cornell, University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton Business School.

Physical Therapist

Physical therapists are health care professionals who diagnose and treat people of all ages who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. They also help prevent conditions associated with loss of mobility through fitness and wellness programs that achieve healthy and active lifestyles. Physical therapists examine individuals and develop plans using treatment techniques that promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. They must have a graduate degree from an accredited physical therapy program before taking the national licensure examination. The minimum educational requirement is a master's degree. All our physical therapists are licensed by the state of New Jersey.

Registered Dietitian

We only employ registered dietitians to deliver our weight loss and nutrition programs. All registered dietitians must meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree at a US regionally accredited university or college and course work approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of The American Dietetic Association (ADA).
  • Completion of a CADE-accredited supervised practice program, typically 6 to 12 months in length at a healthcare facility, community agency, or a foodservice corporation.
  • Passing a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Completion of continuing professional educational requirements to maintain registration.

Unfortunately, New Jersey does not require nutrition practitioners to be licensed or in any way qualified. Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, regardless of education or training. However, only a registered dietitian meeting the above requirements can use the term dietitian or registered dietitian.

Because dietitians have training and coursework covering food and nutrition sciences, chemistry, physiology, and anatomy, they are appropriately equipped to assess and manage weight loss and nutrition programs.

Your health and wellbeing are too important to risk to unqualified amateurs whom you cannot be sure have the proper education and practical experience to both treat and communicate safe and proven weight loss and nutrition programs.

Exercise Physiologist

An exercise physiologist is a trained health care professional that has at least 4 years (and ours often have 6 years) of University training in physiology (how the body works) and the impact that exercise and activity can have on how the body works. Our exercise physiologists have particular specializations in cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy, and working with clinical populations (those with a wide range of medical conditions such as obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, fibromyalgia, menopause, and along with many others) as well as sports conditioning
